Air Fryer Garlic Knots
These air fryer garlic knots will knock your socks off if you like finger foods. They are perfect for parties, family gatherings, and even game days.
If you have been wondering how long these would take, let me tell you: if you have leftover pizza dough, these don’t take more than 10 minutes.
If you do not have leftover pizza dough, you can make it from scratch using this recipe or use biscuit dough or crescent rolls.
They are buttery, garlicky, crispy on the outside(similar to a pizza crust), and soft and fluffy on the inside. I use a homemade white pizza sauce as a dip, which works well with these garlic knots.
This white creamy dip makes everything taste like a flavor bomb with every bite you take. So, without wasting any more time, let me share my easy air fryer garlic knots recipe(in the end, I share the cheesy dip recipe, too).
One must consider this easy appetizer recipe when they have leftover pizza dough, as you just can’t put it down after eating one.

Ingredients and Substitutions
150 grams of Leftover Pizza Dough- I use a homemade pizza dough recipe with self-rising flour. However, you could get store-bought dough; it works the same.
2 tbsp Butter– You can use vegan butter if you want a vegan version of the garlic knots.
1 tbsp Minced Garlic
1 tsp Parsley
1/2 tsp salt– You can add more or less of the salt depending on the saltiness of the cheese and butter.
1 tbsp Cheese(I used simple processed cheese; you can use Parmesan cheese)- If you want a vegan version, you can use vegan cheese. Just make sure it melts well.
How to make AIR Fryer Garlic Knots?
1. Roll the leftover pizza dough on a flat surface to form a cylindrical pipe-like structure. Make sure to dust the surface well with flour so that it doesn’t stick to the surface when you roll it.
2. Now, take the lengthened dough and cross the edges over so they form a hoop, and put one of the edges inside this hoop to form a knot. You can then join the loose ends at the back of the knot.
3. Make enough of these knots, and don’t worry if you don’t get it right in the first go; you can always try it again. You get it after the first one or two times. It is pretty straightforward.
4. Now, take the air fryer basket, line it with these garlic knots, and cook them at 190°C or 375°F for 4 minutes on one side and then flip them over and cook them for another three minutes.
I cooked these in my Philips Air fryer.
5. Let’s make the butter dip mix for the garlic knots. Mix the butter, parsley, garlic, cheese, and salt. Now, take the garlic knots and dunk them in this mix.
Then, sprinkle some parmesan cheese and finely chopped parsley on top and garnish your garlic knots.
How do you freeze these garlic Knots?
If you think you cannot eat these garlic knots all at once, then you should consider freezing them for later. I usually do not dip the garlic knots if I plan on freezing the leftovers.
However, if you have already dipped them in the butter mix, then make sure you spread them out on a tray and freeze them, maintaining a decent gap between each of them.
This way, they won’t stick to one another when you freeze them together.
Now, wrap them individually(optional) and put them in a zip-lock bag. You can take them out individually later and reheat them in the air fryer for 2-3 minutes, and they would taste as good as the fresh ones.
How long does it take to cook frozen garlic knots?
You can cook them for 2-3 minutes at 190°C to reheat them and bring them back to life. If you want, you can dunk them in the butter mixture again.
Line your air fryer with parchment paper, as the butter melts when reheated and can cause a massive mess in the air fryer basket.
Dipping sauce for Air fryer Garlic knots
The most popular dipping sauce for air fryer garlic knots is marinara sauce, and as much as that tastes great, I love the white creamy pizza sauce recipe.
It is creamy and garlicky and tastes so good with the garlic knots that you are not returning to any other dipping sauce.
I tried this easy cheesy white garlic sauce recipe, and it takes me just 5 minutes to make it home. It is easy and loved by everyone in my family, so try it.
